PreSens Precision Sensing GmbH engineers, produces and distributes chemo-optical sensors for biological relevant parameters. Such fluorescence-based sensors are used to analyse dynamic processes mainly in liquid phases. Micro sensor systems for space-resolved measurements as well as parallel systems for micro well plates are distributed. These systems are characterised by non-invasive measurements leaving the culture undisturbed. Within the AutoBio project PreSens Precision Sensing GmbH develops new oxygen- and pH-sensors for the application in micro well plates. In fact, sensors are designed capable of detecting oxygen at-line and non-invasively as well as pH-sensors optimised for microbial cultivations. To achieve a rapid market penetration after the project has finished, the focus is put on the compatibility with commercially available fluorescence readers of other manufacturers.
