The 6th International BioProScale Symposium 2021 will take place online between 29th and 31st of March! |
---|
The call for papers and registration for the next BioProScale is open! More information can be found here. The symposium is targeted at experts from research & development and industrial practice in the industrial bioprocessing of pharmaceuticals, food, feed and renewables. All people, from industry and academia, involved in bioprocess development, scale up and scale down for the production of pharmaceuticals, bulk and fine chemicals, food and feed are highly welcome to join! |
1st AVARE Expert Workshop Food waste as feedstock for a value-adding bioproduction, February 11th |
The European project AVARE “Adding VAlue in Resource Effective food systems” (www.susfood-avare.com )conducts an online expert workshop series in February and March. The first workshop on February 11th between 2.00 and 3.30 pm will be dedicated to food waste valorization through dark fermentation and subsequent monocultivation for DHA production. It aims thus to show examples for a circular bioeconomy. Program and information for registration (pdf-file) |
Open mobilities in an Erasmus+ KA 107 project with Egypt
The European Erasmus+ programme offers the possibility of a worldwide scientific and teaching exchange. The key action 107 aims at extending the well-known Erasmus mobility of individuals between the European programme countries to other regions across the globe (partner countries) and provides the opportunity of gaining international experience. Mobility of university students, lecturers and employees coming from partner countries to Germany (Incoming) or moving from Germany to partner countries (Outgoing) can be supported. The mobility of students is limited from 3-12 months and the mobility of lecturers or employees can be supported for a stay of at least 5 days up to a 2 months´ duration.
Within Erasmus+ the department of Bioprocess Engineering of TU Berlin is collaborating with the American University of Cairo (AUC). 6 Mobilities for students are funded in KA 107:
Level | Country of origin | Country of destination | Home university | Host university | No of month | No of persons |
Student mobility- outgoing | Germany | Egypt | TU Berlin | AUC | 3 | 1 |
Student mobility- incoming | Egypt | Gernamy | AUC | TU Berlin | 3 | 1 |
Student mobility- incoming | Egypt | Germany | AUC | TU Berlin | 6 | 1 |
Master and PhD students of TU Berlin can apply for a grant to go to AUC in Egypt. The following grants are available:
Students outgoing to Egypt: 650 Euro/month
Closing day for application is 20.11.2017. Please see the Application form for documents and information needed for the application.
Information on scientific topics that will be worked with during the Erasmus+ project are shortly described in the following applications.
